The Mallard LW is built with the same sturdy construction as our other wind generator but is designed for areas with wind speeds of 5-20MPH.

• The construction of the Mallard LW also makes it quieter, which will make your neighbors happy. 
• This 3 aluminum blade system to work in lower wind speeds.
• These blades have  a span of 5 foot. The base of each blade is 9 ". 
• The Mallard LW is best in areas with winds speeds of 5-20MPH and our other wind generators are best in winds with moderate to high winds.
• The Mallard LW contains a powerful magnet to produce power. 10MPH winds push the blades to start turning.. Once this unit is going it will continue to turn in winds as low as 5MPH.

          One of the advantages of the aluminum blades that we use on the Mallard LW is that they are much quieter than the carbon fiber blades. This is very useful in areas where you have close neighbors. The aluminum blades make the Mallard LW neighbour friendly.

         We have tested these blades to temperatures as low as 0*F.

         The Mallard LW is available for 12 volt systems. A 24 volt stator is used in our Mallard LW for your 12 volt battery system. This way, at the lower speeds of 5-10MPH you will already have charging voltage.

        Our wind generators do not have a nose cone. By keeping them open they can then stay cooler in the high winds and allows them to continue to produce power instead of kicking out. There is no danger of harm from the elements. We have these wind generators all over the world in all different weather conditions with great results everywhere.        When we build the Mallard LW and ship it to you the tail will be unpainted. This saves on production cost and keeps the cost down.

           These Turbines are hand made in a shop in Arizona, to keep cost this low we can't stock any here in Toronto. The builder doessn't stock them either. They are made as the orders come in. Please allow 3 to 6 weeks to be produced and to clear customs.

            Purchase price includes everything that goes on top of the pole, ready to mount to your tower (tower and wire not included). You will receive the PMA (permanent magnet alternator), this is a much better quality alternator than a standard one with old style brushes like automotive alternators. Three aluminum blades with hub and bolts, the mounting frame bracket, mounting sleeves and the tail.

           Pole is not included, ideas and plans to make your own from local materials inc. with every purchase.
